Dr Suyi Ooi is a consultant neurologist with subspecialty training in epilepsy and cognitive neurology. She completed her medical degree at Deakin University, after a Bachelor of Pharmacy (Honours) at Monash University.

Dr Ooi undertook neurology training at Royal Melbourne Hospital and Monash Health. She subsequently completed a fellowship in cognitive and behavioural neurology at Eastern Health, followed by three years of subspecialty epilepsy training as a clinical fellow at the Bladin-Berkovic Comprehensive Epilepsy Program, Austin Health. She currently serves as a consultant neurologist at Bendigo Health. Dr Ooi recently completed her PhD through the University of Melbourne, focusing on improving the prediction of seizure recurrence after a first seizure using advanced
neuroimaging.

Dr Ooi consults at The Neuro Group on a regular basis, offering both in-person and Telehealth appointments. Her special interests are in the diagnosis and management of:

• Epilepsy and first seizure

• General neurological disorders and presentations

• Cognitive disorders, including dementias

• Stroke
