Dr Mahima Kapoor is a Neuromuscular and Peripheral Nerve Neurologist, holding a Consultant Neurologist appointment at Alfred Health where she is head of the Neuromuscular program. She is actively involved in research through Monash University, where she recently completed her PhD investigating the management of inflammatory neuropathies.
Dr Kapoor obtained her medical degree from Monash University and completed her neurology training in Melbourne at The Alfred and Royal Melbourne Hospitals. She was awarded the prestigious ANZAN Fellowship to complete her training at the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery in London. She then completed a further two-year clinical fellowship at the MRC Centre for Neuromuscular Disease, University College London.
Dr Kapoor consults at The Neuro Group as a general neurologist on a monthly basis, seeing patients with a variety of neurological conditions. Her special interests and expertise spans:
